White settlers have introduced Christianity to Kenya. Some of the Gikuyu people embrace the new faith. Others pursue tribal independence and the ancient ways. Visionary Waiyaki struggles to educate his tribe and build bridges between the factions. His plans spark controversy, threatening both the Gikuyu's and his own survival.
